Medieval dwelling complex in the historical centre of Constance

The complex is situated in the western part of the historical town centre of Constance close to the medieval fortification of the first half of the 13th century. The complex consists of a front house and a rear tower-like building, both majorly erected with local quarrystone. Dendrochronological examinations conducted in the 1980’s proved that the two houses date back to the first half of the 14th century. A detailed survey of the houses was completed in autumn 2011; the examination of the building history is scheduled for spring 2012.
